The XS28 is a true magnum powered air rifle, and while it is a clone of the RWS 350 Magnum, it has been reported to often have more power and more consistent velocity than the more expensive brand name model its patterned after. It will get up to and over 850fps with 14.3gr .22 caliber pellets and over 700fps in .25 cal with 25gr pellets. This rifle will get up to and over 25ft/lbs of energy, and yet is surprisingly light break for its power.

I just got the xisco xs28 (in .25 cal) today and wow! I’m completely blown away with the craftsmanship of this Chinese variant! I own a few high end German springers...including Diana’s and this one is right there on par with them as far as looks and build quality, completely exceeded my expectations. I haven’t completed a full tare down, cleaning and re-lube but couldn’t resist taking a few shots just to get a taste of the shot cycle....and wow!!! Completely shocked for the price...smooth cocking, powerful and smooth shot cycle.. no cheap twang like some HW rifles....just a beautiful solid thunk!! Glad I didn’t pre order a vortek tune kit, as I don’t think this rifle needs it. I’m sure the accuracy will not disappoint!
Purchased .25 cal and very impressed with both rifle and service.. thx wes
An expertly tuned version of this rifle gets rave reviews online, but I've haven't found a review as it comes 'out of the box', so here it is. Caveat -- I've only owned the rifle few days, so I'm giving my initial impressions. I bought the .22 version. It's a fine looking rifle with a lovely wood stock. The workmanship was very good, and perhaps a bit better than my Browning- branded Leverage (which I'm quite fond of), and much better than I expected. There is very little plastic on the rifle, only the trigger guard and the small plastic cap on the end of the action -- even the sites are metal. With no special preparation (I cleaned the rifle and barrel, waxed the wood, and put a drop of oil on the linkages) it shot well right away. I don't have a chrony, but it clearly makes very good power for a springer, and seems quite accurate. The balance of the rifle is quite neutral. The trigger is adjustable, but I found no reason to try to adjust it -- it was actually rather good just as it came and from the very first shot. It isn't difficult to cock, I'd guess 30 - 35 pounds, just a touch more than my Leverage. The rifle does have enough springer-type recoil that if you want a scope, I think you had best chose a robust, air-rifle-rated scope and mounts -- anything cheaply-made will probably just break ... sooner rather than later. The only negative I could find on the rifle -- and it is nitpicking -- the cocking linkages have enough play in them that the gun will rattle if you shake it -- I don't see any functional consequences. I've only put about 150 pellets thorough it so far, and so i can't conclusively say anything for the long-term, but it seems very solid! It isn't an expensive rifle, so it gets full points in my books!
